Membership Overview

MRA offers Life and Ordinary membership for persons normally domiciled in Maharashtra.

Applicants are expected to submit the prescribed forms and supporting documents, meet the MRA committee personally on the allotted date and time, and complete the required safety and orientation formalities before unsupervised range use is permitted.

Once membership is approved, the applicant must complete Safety and Undertaking cum Indemnity, complete the orientation course, and pay range and weapon usage charges before being permitted to shoot without supervision.

Life Membership

For persons normally domiciled in Maharashtra.

Fee: Rs 50,000.00

Below 18 Years

For individual applicants below 18 years of age.

Fee: Rs 35,000.00

Ordinary Membership

For persons normally domiciled in Maharashtra.

Entrance Fee: Rs 18,000.00

Yearly Renewal: Rs 3,500.00

Renewal Deadline

Yearly renewal fee must be paid before the 31st of March every year.

The categories below group the current membership and registration structures described by MRA for residents, non-domiciled applicants, students, service personnel, and temporary members.

Persons Normally Domiciled in Maharashtra

  • Life Membership: Rs 50,000.00
  • For individuals below 18 years: Rs 35,000.00
  • Ordinary Membership: Rs 18,000.00 entrance fee
  • Yearly Renewal: Rs 3,500.00
  • Renewal fee must be paid before 31 March every year.

Citizens of India Not Normally Domiciled in Maharashtra, PIOs, and OCIs

  • Ordinary Membership Entrance Fee: Rs 20,000.00
  • Yearly Renewal Fee: Rs 5,000.00
  • Renewal fee must be paid before 31 March every year.
  • All standard membership documents are required, along with additional supporting documents.

Student Target Shooter

Eligibility: Students below the age of 21.

Registration Fee: Rs 1000/- per annum.

BMC / Police / Military Personnel Registration

Eligibility: BMC, Police, or Military personnel in service.

Registration Fee: Rs 1000/- per annum.

Temporary Membership

Eligibility: Available only to shooters from districts or talukas of Maharashtra where there are no affiliated or registered MRA units, and only at the sole discretion of MRA.

Fee: Rs 200/- per annum.

Required Documents

What each applicant category must submit

Standard membership applicants must submit the core document set below. Some categories also require additional supporting documents.

Standard Membership Documents
  • Membership enrolment form along with personal particulars form, duly completed in all respects.
  • The forms must be filled by the applicant in his or her own handwriting.
  • Cheque for membership fee.
  • Self-attested passport copy or present proof of residence such as electricity bill, telephone bill, ration card, or equivalent.
  • 6 recent passport size photographs.
  • Birth certificate in the case of individuals below the age of 18.
  • Self-attested copy of the complete arms licence in the case of arms licence holders.
Additional Documents For Non-Domiciled Applicants, PIOs, and OCIs
  • Letter from the employer organisation or educational institution.
  • Copy of PIO or OCI document.
  • All standard membership documents listed alongside.
Student Target Shooter
  • Application form for registration as Student Target Shooter along with personal particulars form.
  • NOC from parents.
  • Attestation from the educational institution.
  • Self-attested passport copy.
  • Proof of present residence.
  • 2 recent passport size photographs.
  • Birth certificate.
BMC / Police / Military Personnel
  • Registration form along with personal particulars form, duly completed in all respects.
  • The forms must be filled by the applicant in his or her own handwriting.
  • Recommendation of commanding officer.
  • Proof of service.
  • 2 recent passport size photographs.
Temporary Membership
  • Temporary Membership Form along with personal particulars form, duly completed in all respects.
  • The forms must be filled by the applicant in his or her own handwriting.
  • Self-attested passport copy or any other proof of residence.
  • 2 recent passport size photographs.
  • Birth certificate.
  • Recommendation by one national-level player and by two respectable persons from the applicant’s area stating that they know the applicant for at least 10 years, that the applicant has no police record, and is of good character.
